Thinking About Selling Your Business?
You built a strong HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical business. You are now thinking about the next chapter and want to make sure your business stays in good hands.
We are a group of skilled trades operators. Not private equity. Not brokers.
Built by operators. Built for operators.
AirVolt Group is an Ohio-based HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical services operator. We are not private equity and not business brokers. We are building a long-term operating group made up of skilled trades companies led by industry operators.
We partner with owners who are thinking about the next chapter.
Our goal is simple: carry forward what you’ve built — not change it for the sake of change.
We Focus On:
– Protecting your name and reputation
– Taking care of the team you’ve built
– Keeping your customers satisfied
– Giving you a clear way to transition
A business built over decades deserves to move forward under steady leadership.
Are We The Right Fit?
Probably a GOOD fit
- You own a closely held or family-run HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical business
- You’ve been at this for a while: 15, 20, 30+ years
- You’re based in Ohio or the neighboring states
- You’ve built a strong reputation in your community
- You care deeply about your team and customers
- You want to transition (slowly or fully) on your terms
- You don’t want your life’s work turned into a flip
- You’re proud of what you built. You just don’t want to carry it alone forever.
Probably NOT a fit
- You don’t care about what happens to your employees and customers after you’re gone
- You want the highest bidder, no questions asked
- The business is unprofitable
Your Transition Options
Some owners prefer a full exit. Others want to step back gradually to ensure a smooth transition. Some join us as partners and benefit from the continued growth and success of their business. We structure each transition around your goals and the long-term health of the business.
Full Exit
You want to fully step away from the business.
We acquire the company and take over day-to-day operations while ensuring employees, customers, and the reputation you built continue to be taken care of. Some owners choose to stay involved for a period to help with a smooth transition.
Gradual Transition
You want to start stepping back gradually but are not ready to walk away completely.
You remain involved during a transition period while we take on more of the operational and administrative responsibilities. Over time, you can gradually reduce your role while the business continues to grow.
Partnership
You still enjoy running the business but want support and long-term growth and stability.
You continue running the company while gaining a partner who can help with growth, hiring, systems, and long-term planning. This allows you to stay involved while sharing the responsibilities of ownership.
Our Process
1. Conversation
We start with a simple conversation. We learn more about your business, your goals for the future, and what’s important to you. We determine if there is a good mutual fit.
2. Exploring the Right Path
If it makes sense to continue, we review the financials, discuss what the business might be worth, and explore what a transition could look like. The goal is to make sure the structure works for you and that expectations are aligned before moving forward.
3. Smooth Transition
We complete the remaining steps and finalize the agreement. Throughout the process, the focus is on a smooth transition so that employees remain in place, customers continue to receive the same service, and the reputation you built over the years is protected.
